The Financial Times has written off the majority of an investment into covering European start-ups amid a downturn in tech funding on the Continent. The FT said in recently filed accounts that it spent £614,000 on raising its stake in Sifted, a news site aimed at tech entrepreneurs and investors, from 14.4pc to 17.5pc in June 2024.
